Muhammad Natsir at the Inauguration of Al Qalam, Depok
In his speech, Muhammad Natsir had hoped that Al-Qalam would contribute to the development of formal education. Furthermore, Muhammad Natsir had also shared his wishes that Al Qalam Depok would be capable of establishing a foundation which provides various educational programmes from Elementary to Tertiary level.
Award Ceremony for the First Batch Alumni
The first batch of award ceremony was attended by Muhammad Natsir and the founder of Yayasan Islam Al-Qalam Amanah Ummat (Al-Qalam Islamic Foundation), Amin Djamaluddin (to the left of the graduates). Muhammad Natsir awarded the first batch of Al-Qalam Islamic Secondary School in Jakarta,who started their academic year in 1989, their diplomas.
Visit from the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Foundation Stone-Laying Ceremony of Al Qalam, Depok
Al-Qalam began the construction of Al-Qalam Islamic Elementary School in 1996 which was subsequently followed by the construction of Al-Qalam Islamic Secondary School in 2004. The foundation’s efforts in education had the full support and assistance from the Embassy of Saudi Arabia.
