Founder

Muhammad Amin Djamaluddin, born in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, had a background as a graduate of PGAN Bima with a 6-year educational history. Muhammad Amin Djamaluddin once served as one of the special experts in the field of religion under Muhammad Natsir when he held the position of Chairman of Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia.

Founder’s Mission

Based on his former experiences, Muhammad Amin Djamaluddin adopted a dakwah approach that aligned with the spirit of Muhammad Natsir’s methodologies. It established three pillars as the foundation for the dakwah movement: mosques, universities, and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). The ideology of Muhammad Amin Djamaluddin’s dakwah traced back to the dakwah philosophy of Muhammad Natsir, of which priorities are on areas that are out of reach by dakwah efforts or full by challenges.

Muhammad Amin Djamaluddin had built two fields of dakwah: Binaa-an, through the establishment of Yayasan Islam Al-Qalam Amanah Ummat, and Difaa’an, through the establishment of the Institute for Research and Study of Islam, as a realization of scholarly contributions for the benefit of the community.
